Diploma in Holistic Counselling for Holistic Living. 2012

The OPEN HANDS Centre.

This course offers the opportunity for deep personal growth whilst training in a field of holistic knowledge, tools, skills and qualifications to safely and in an empowering way support self and others. This course enables you to counsel clients individually and in groups by using the processes, modalities and counseling skills provided in the modules.

This is a “hands on” course. Each session is designed to teach , provide experiences, practice processes , enlighten participants in the power of holistic living and holistic self healing and how to bring this to others.

The course is stimulating in that it is filled with content and is taught within a gentle and creative environment conducive to learning through simple and enjoyable methods. The learning environment is relaxed, respectful, friendly and supportive, based on listening, sharing, teaching and learning holistically. There may be a greater understanding of self and the development of greater life skills. The course gives the opportunity to read, view, listen and experience materials that reflect nurturing and promote positive focus and growth.

Core training outline;

Understanding the holistic approach and the role of the holistic counselor.

Training in holistic counseling skills and micro skills.

Understanding of the areas of counseling.

Grief and loss, conflict resolution, family of origin, self esteem, goal setting, inner child, and so on.

The chakra system and emotional healing.

Individual and group counseling for holistic living.

Holistic parenting,

Holistic working with families.

Meditation in all aspects of holistic counseling and living.

The inner child exploration and training.

Understanding colour in holistic healing.

Symbology and Gestalt work.
